Working with local leaders, residents and academics I assisted in the creation of a concept structure plan for how Minamisoma could move forward post the nuclear/earthquake/tsunami disasters of 2012. Pre- disaster the region’s primary focus was agriculture. Although communication between participants was difficult the group were able to collaborate and successfully produce a concept structure plan for the area’s regeneration and long term survival.
