Sometimes it’s really unclear if you need a garden or a path? In this garden we aimed for both. An informal run of stone retains soil and enables a gentle pathway to step through the front yard. Recycled timber steps guide traffic and protect small plants from damage. Rusted iron water bowls encourage bird and insect life to visit the garden. The 100% indigenous planting bolsters local biodiversity and supports the regeneration of rare flora in Banyule. As the garden matures the pathway will gradually vanish, and that’s okay.
