A rocky, central Australian inspired landscape is set with Australian native, local Indigenous and exotic plants. Natural rockwork creates a raised platform for a bottle tree and a depression to catch rainwater below the tree. An open picket fence with hardwood feature posts and automated sliding gate enclose the front yard providing secure parking whilst maintaining a connection with the street. Pathways and gates enable easy movement around the house and into a secret shed for bikes and boxes. Flowing water masks city noises and creates a calming ambiance in the front yard and two front rooms assisting in a good nights sleep. A rusty Iron pipe adds a post-industrial quality to the design remembering Preston’s past. An Indigenous/Exotic planting on the verge beyond the fence expands the front gardens feel and visual impact.
